Most people look for remarkably low prices when they want their PCs repaired. There are times when this works, and I think those are when money is the only thing that counts. When the quality of the service is more important, you would look instead for the best in the field, whatever they charge for their services. Sometimes when a client brings in their computer for repairs, what they need is an upgrade. They don’t know this, but you do. Please do not take advantage of them. You may charge your regular administrative charges, but nothing more then what you need to for the job you did for them. People never know what they are letting themselves in for when they buy computers. You see, computers are machines, and machines need repairs after they have worn off for a while. For some reason, folks just expect them to last forever without regular maintenance. It just doesnt work that way. You need an extra wire? Are you sure? If you don’t know how to repair a computer, you don’t have to get all macho about it. Just own up so that you can be taught. Theres no better way about it than that.
